Hoorah!
My former boss – great man, humorous, good heart- was one of those “rock and rollin’” role models that i really salute. Today is one of those days when he recounts and reaffirms himself of a reality that he has been deliberately dismissing, that is, his age. He’s not like super old, it’s just that he coughs every time he laughs.
Talking about laughs. He is one fun person to work with. Serious when it comes down to work, of course, but when he laughs, he laughs hard. His secretary is even afraid that he might someday die of a heart attack diagnosing from his cough-triggering laughs. The guy who is supposed to be the head always ends up as the official joker – which makes us (our department) the “happy department” – when all others are just seriously cramming their heads into their work. It’s really tempting as much as it is loud. So much so that we’ve “lured” some colleagues from other “clan” to join in the commotion. If one were to pace into the office, the only trace of noise or laughter most of the time would be from our source. All thanks to the boss.
Oh, and one more thing. Just a precaution for those of you who would walk in one fine day and meet him, please do not, NEVER, EVER, let the four letter word slip out of your mouth. What? You really want me to spell it out for you? ….. it’s B.O.S.S.
