Been a couple of days since i blogged. Fingers are itching! :) Let’s wind back to the past.
ROAD TRIP! but not really. Ben, Paul and I just went out for lunch on the 28th which was LAST Thursday. We drove around PJ in search of some good food as recommended by Ben. You guys should see him when he was hungry! Some crazy passion. And i didn’t even have breakfast that day, imagine me! haha.
With our hunger pangs kicking within us, we ram our way to PJ with all sorts of nonsensical jokes and, well….nonsense. haha Some of us were like screaming at the school kids outside (since it was right after school time) to get back into school and study hard and whatnot. Bottom line, we were hungry people.
Drove into PJ Old Town after Paul pointed out to me the few renown landmarks of PJ (Old and New that is…) and lo and behold! …..Kuey Teow Soup. -.- yes, we drove from the North to the South Pole just to have that. At first, it was a huge blow to my face for sure when i found out what was composed of the “great lunch”. I mean, Kuey Teow Soup?! Seriously?! Still, we sat down and called for a bowl each.
I really don’t know how to continue this post, but only with a statement that I was.. DEAD WRONG. The soup was splendid! As simple as it was, it was somewhat worth it. Though i won’t rate it as the BEST, but definitely, without a doubt, it was tasteful. :) If I only settled for one small bowl of KueyTeow Soup for lunch after skipping breakfast, you’ll know that either i was abducted and impersonated by a freak or it was a miraculous meal that has taken its place in my tummy. :)
You might be thinking that that was it. Well, nope. The Ben-tourage led us to this curry-puff stall at SS2 PJ called HOMI (if my memory serves me right) with another branch in Gardens, MV. With curry-puffs selling for RM1.60 per piece, you know it’s gotta be worth the bucks. At first glance, it was HUGE! *droooooool* Secondly, it was like fresh out of the wok of boiling oil. I think we ordered for 20? ……Not for the 3 of us only of course. If we did, Rapture might have taken place even before we could finish it. They were for our dearly beloved office people.
By the end of this, i need to confess that Ben is truly a trustworthy person……….when it comes to good food. :D
